Buchanan, Tenn.—The Paris Landing Fire Department extinguished a car fire in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store on Hwy. 79N around 12:30 p.m. Monday and the Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office is still seeking the driver.
Fire Chief Reggie Coles said the Fire Department and deputies were dispatched to the store on a report of a car on fire in the parking lot. Arriving units found a 2000 maroon Ford Crown Victoria with the engine compartment engulfed in flames.
Coles said the cause appears to be accidental, however, the driver was not at the scene and was reportedly last seen walking on E. Antioch Rd. Damage estimate is $1,500.
