Paris, Tenn.—The Henry Co. Patriots are going back to the state football finals.
Despite a steady and cold rainfall Friday night, Patriot Stadium was filled with fans who cheered on their team as the Patriots beat Beech by a score of 13-7.
The Patriots will face Knoxville Central in the state 5A finals next week. Knoxville Central beat Knoxville Catholic by a score of 24-19 last night.
The Patriots won the state championship in 2011 and 2013.
In Kentucky, Mayfield will also be making a return trip to the state KHSAA championship. They beat Walton-Verona by a score of 38-8. Mayfield will meet Christian Academy-Louisville for the state championship.
