Paris, Tenn.—Lines were steady as Tony and Heather Gerweck served 235 free Thanksgiving meals Thursday morning from their food truck in Paris. As WENK/WTPR reported earlier, the couple made 250 free meals for people in need or who had to work Thanksgiving Day as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to the community which has helped their small business since they opened a year ago. The meals included big helpings of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, croissant, green beans, and pie, They also provided a free Continental breakfast of muffins and fruit for everyone. The leftover meals were also given to those in need. Heather’s Street Food is located in the parking lot at Fred’s Discount Store at 850 Volunteer Drive. (Shannon McFarlin photos).
