Paris, Tenn.—An 11-year-old was killed and a 12-year-old was airlifted with head trauma following a two-vehicle accident which occurred on Hwy. 79S Saturday evening.
Killed in the accident was Abigale Lucero, age 11. She was a passenger in a 1996 Jeep driven by Ricky Glisson, age 35. Sheyenne Glisson, age 12, was injured and airlifted from the scene with head trauma.
The other vehicle was driven by Kevin Hilt, age 38, driving a 2015 Impala sedan.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, both vehicles were northbound when Hilt struck the Jeep in the rear end, causing the Jeep to roll over. The passengers were ejected from the Jeep and the Jeep came to a final rest on top of the ejected passengers.
Neither driver was injured. The accident report does not indicate to which hospital Sheyenne Glisson was airlifted and no condition report was available.
Trooper Jeremy Byars conducted the investigation. Also called to the scene was the Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office, Paris Fire Department and Henry Co. EMS. The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m.
