Paris, Tenn.–Connie McSwain of Paris, at left, looks over items at the annual two-day Homemaker’s Holiday which began today at the Henry County Fairgrounds. On Thursday, doors will be open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m, with lunch served from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. On the menu will be homemade soups and chili, pimiento cheese or chicken salad sandwich, dessert and drink for only $5. Both days, each club will be selling homemade cakes, pies, casseroles, chicken and dumplings, soups, fried pies, homemade crafts, soaps and so many other items. The monies raised from this event are all given to local charities. The ladies in the county’s Family Community Education (FCE) clubs will be offering their best homemade goodies.
