Cottage Grove, Tenn.—Meeting in regular session Tuesday night, the Cottage Grove Legislative Council made progress in the purchase of a new emergency siren for the town.
A bid for $24,168.79 from Sirens for Cities was accepted to replace the emergency siren, complete with warranty for a Century Model. The bid was the only one submitted.
There were two bids received for the parking lot repair on the former bank building and the low bid from T&R&W for $8,150 was accepted. Wade Paving submitted a $9600 bid. Paving will be completed as weather allows.
Matthew McClure was re-elected as Vice Mayor for two years.
