Driver In Kroger Crash In Passenger Seat

Paris, Tenn.—The recently released police report on the accident in which a car drove through the front of the Paris Kroger Store has revealed that the driver was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the crash, as witnesses had said at the time.
The crash occurred November 5 and the front window, its frame, and a display of seasonal items in front of the store were smashed in the collision. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the accident.
According to the Paris Police report, Larry Nichols, age 83, of Tatertown Road, was sitting in the passenger seat while he was trying to navigate pulling up to the front of the store to pick up his wife. He told police his foot apparently got stuck on the gas.
Nichols also struck a parked and unoccupied car owned by Judy Moon of Paris in the collision. No citation was issued.
