Dresden, Tenn.–Just in time for the holiday shopping season, the City of Dresden and local business will open their doors for Christmas shopping on Sunday, November 18th from 1pm – 5pm.
This is a holiday tradition in Dresden that residents and visitors have come to love. This year they will add some Charles Dickens’ charm with some local singers doing Christmas caroling around town.
Another fun event being added this year is the Children’s Christmas Parade, starting at 3 pm. The parade will feature non-motorized vehicles and walking entries. Children can decorate their bike, wagons, and themselves in holiday cheer. They can dress to celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.
There also will be photo opportunities, cookies, and face painting with Santa at the United Methodist Church, 105 S, Church St., from 2 pm – 4 pm. The annual tree lighting ceremony will be at 4:50 pm in front of City Hall. This is a Free Event.
