Suspect Sought In Strong Arm Robbery At Dyersburg Mall

Dyersburg, Tenn.—Dyersburg Police are seeking the suspect in a strong arm robbery of jewelry at the Dyersburg Mall last night. Value of the rings that were stolen is some $8,900.
On Thursday, November 8, at approximately 8 pm Dyersburg officers responded to a robbery complaint at Roger’s Jewelry located inside the Dyersburg Mall.
Officers made contact with a sales clerk who told them the suspect had entered the store and requested to see assorted diamond rings. The sales clerk honored his request and soon became suspicious due to his actions.
The clerk then allowed the suspect to view two diamond rings that she placed on her fingers at which time the suspect grabbed her hand and forcibly removed the rings. During the physical encounter with the suspect, the clerk was almost pulled over the counter.
The suspect took the two diamond rings and fled the store exiting the east side of the Dyersburg Mall. DPD Officers and K9 Drago searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a black male approximately 6 ft. in height, slender build, approximately 20-30 years of age. He was wearing a black Jordan shirt with red down the side, black jogging pants with a white stripe down the legs, red high top tennis shoes and a red and white beanie style skullcap.
The diamond rings were described as 3 carats, white gold bands with square halos and round diamonds. The value of the rings combined are approximately $8,900.
