Mayfield, Ky.–A janitor at Graves County High School has been arrested by the Kentucky State Police on charges of having a sexual relationship with a student.
On Thursday, November 8th, The Kentucky State Police Post 1 received a complaint from a resource officer at Graves County High School. School officials had learned of a possible inappropriate relationship between a 16-year-old student and an adult. After an investigation, David S. Darnell, 28 of Mayfield, was arrested and charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Minor (Class C Felony), Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st degree-illegal sex act (Class C Felony), and Possession / Viewing Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor (Class D Felony).
