Five New Business Licenses Issued In Paris; Retail Sales Revenue Up

Paris, Tenn.—City of Paris Finance Director Traci Shannon reported Thursday evening that retail sales tax revenue was up 1.89% for the month of August and also up .70% for the fiscal year-to-date.
Shannon said the city mailed out 3,639 ESN122 Fire Membership Fees and have collected 50% of the amount billed, which is the average we typically receive each September. We usually end the fiscal year with collections close to 65% of the amount billed.
The city issued five business licenses in September:
New business: Ford’s Fix-All, CoinStar, Mockingbird Catering, Fletcher Construction
