Dresden, Tenn.—A couple has been charged in Weakley Co. with aggravated child abuse and neglect after three children tested positive for meth.
Kristin Leann Goode, age 27, of Dresden, and James Cory Lane, age 29, of Union City, are charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect under Haley’s Law after three children who had been living with them had hair follicle tests show a positive result for meth.
The children are nine, two and one year old.
Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan said the couple previously had taken a drug screen at the request of the Department of Children’s Services and failed for numerous drugs, including meth.
