Paris, Tenn.–Wow. You can sample chili from some of the best chili cooks in Henry County and help an upcoming mission trip to Kenya at the same time.
On Saturday, November 10 from 5-7:30 PM at Paris First United Methodist Church, you have a chance to taste some of the best chili in Henry County as 11 teams compete to be labeled as the Grand Champion Red Hot Chili Preppers. Tickets are $10 in advance and include chili tastings, a full bowl of your favorite chili and the “fixins” that go well with it, plus dessert and beverages. Children under 3 eat free and tickets are just $5 for children ages 3-12.
Tickets are available in the church office at First United Methodist Church and also at area businesses including: Lura Lee’s, Merison’s (both locations), Paris Family Chiropractic, Campbell Therapy, and Lakeway Animal Clinic. Tickets can be purchased at the door for &15 (adults) and $7.50 for children 3-12.
The night promises to be “A Hot Time in the Ole Town” with not only great food but also ongoing live entertainment and games for the children. Proceeds benefit a mission trip to Kenya in the spring of 2019 when members of 4 area churches will travel to assist at an infant rescue center and at children’s homes in Kenya.
