Paris, Tenn.–Reminder: A special program for veterans will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Krider Performing Arts Center in Paris. A Bronze Star will be presented to Barry Hart of Paris for actions 48 years ago during the Vietnam War and Hart’s son, Lt. Col. Jon “Matt” Hart will make the presentation.
KPAC Director Rhonda Stanton provided some new information on the program–it will be live streamed by Beasley Antenna & Satellite, in a partnership with Dish and SlingStudio. The event can be watched live or later two ways. Those who have a Hopper Dish DVR can go to the “Communities on Dish” app and find the event by searching Beasley Antenna and Satellite. The same presentation is available live or later on the Beasley Antenna and Satellite YouTube Channel.
KPAC’s Salute To Veterans is a FREE public event features several great events in one.
- Both the Paris-Henry County Chamber Music Society’s Concert Band and Paris Brass will be performing selections of Patriotic and Americana music.
- Our Special Guest Speaker is USAF Lieutenant Colonel Jon “Matt” Hart, Commander of the 386th Expeditionary Support Squadron.
- A Bronze Star with the V device for Valor will be presented to Barry Hart for events 48 years ago in Vietnam. Come hear the story of how paperwork that had fallen between the cracks has been rectified at last, and honor is being given where honor is due. The best part……Barry’s son, Lt. Col. Matt Hart gets to make this presentation to his dad.

Monday and Tuesday, November 19 and 20 – “THINK GREEN” School Shows with comedian, magician, puppeteer Barry Mitchell for Pre-K to 5th grade students. Over 1,700 students are registered to attend this event done in partnership with the Keep Paris/Henry County Beautiful Litter Grant.
November 30 and December 1 – KPAC Young Artists Present Elf the Musical, Jr. 7:00 p.m. both evenings. Experience maximum Christmas jolliness and mayhem as Buddy the Elf takes the stage in Elf the Musical, Jr. – based on the cherished New Line Cinema hit.
