Paris, Tenn.–Lakewood Middle School speech students placed 10th out of 17 high schools in the Krider Invitational over the weekend. Coach David Weatherly said he is very proud of the students, especially since the team only had seven students and are middle schoolers competing against high school students.
Ella Seaton got second in Program of Oral Interpretation, Abigail George placed 6th in Prose, Taylor Boase placed 8th in Impromptu Speaking and Suzie Chau placed 8th in Humorous Interpretation. The team will be competing at another high school tournament next weekend at Marshall County High School in Draffenville, KY.
