Cadiz, Ky.– The Kentucky State Police are investigating a hoax call about a shooting that was received by the Trigg County dispatch center.
Trigg County dispatch received the call just after 5 p.m. Sunday about a possibly shooting at a residence on Jefferson Street. The caller indicated someone was shot and others were still in the residence.
Cadiz Police Office requested KSP to handle the call based of the information called in. A portion of Jefferson Street was closed off, while the investigation began. KSP was able to clear the residence and did not find any signs of a shooting nor anyone being injured.
KSP is continuing the investigation into the call. KSP was assisted on the scene with the Cadiz Police Office, Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, Trigg County EMS, and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
