Dover, Tenn.—A Cadiz man was killed in a one-vehicle accident outside of Dover Saturday night.
Lowell Brown, age 54, was killed in the accident which occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Bumpus Mills Road at the intersection with Pleasant Hill Rd.
Lt. Travis Plotzer of the Tennessee Highway Patrol released the fatality report to WENK/WTPR Sunday afternoon. According to the report, Brown was driving a 2004 Jeep SUV northbound on Bumpus Mills Rd. at a high rate of speed. His vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The investigator was Trooper Kerry Naquin who indicated in the report that Brown was not wearing a seat belt and that safety restraints would have made a difference in the outcome of the accident.
