Benton Co. Sheriff's Office Accepting Deer For 'Sharing The Bounty' Program

Camden, Tenn.–The Benton Co. Sheriff’s Office is acdepting donated deer for its Deer Processing Program called “Sharing The Bounty” every day during the deer hunting season. The deer will be accepted every day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Processed deer will be given away to residents of the county later. Allison Tomlin of the sheriff’s office said they will announce in a couple weeks when the deer meat will be given away.
Sheriff Kenny Christopher said, “Last year we received 105 deer. This year we have raised our goal due to the positive response from the residents of our county. We have set a new goal this year of 150 deer and we hope to be successful. We can’t do this without you all and your donations. We hope we can exceed our goal this year.”

This year the Camden business Open Season has agreed to donate a gun to one of the hunters at the end of the season.
