Paris and Union City, Tenn.–The early voting period came to a close Thursday afternoon and totals in Henry and Obion County were steady, with the overall total in Henry County higher than usual for a mid-term general election.
Henry County Elections Administrator DeLaina Green reported the total by the end of the day was 6,366, with 497 voting Thursday.
In Obion County, Administrator Leigh Schlager said 5,522 voted overall, with 406 voting Thursday.
Statewide, the total voting during the early voting period was 1,284,160.
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
