Paris, Tenn.–Today 104-year old Minnie Bess Williams came to the Henry County Elections Commission to vote in person.
Due to health reasons, Minnie Bess has voted by absentee ballot for the last couple of elections, but today she wanted to vote in person.
Elections Administrator DeLaina Green said Minnie Bess was thrilled to be able to come to the elections office to vote today and the employees and volunteers at the office were equally thrilled to have her.
Green said, “She is a wonderful spirit and even mentioned she has been voting since she was old enough without missing an election. She was born in 1914.”
