Downtown Paris Christmas Open Houses This Weekend

Paris, Tenn.—Yes, it’s already that time. It’s time for the Christmas Open Houses in Historic Downtown Paris this weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 2, 3 and 4.
Downtown Paris Association Executive Director Kathy Ray said the open houses are the kickoff event for what they call “Downtown Unwrapped”, a festive slate of activities that runs from now until Christmas Eve.

“We traditionally begin the holiday season with three days of beautiful open houses that combine the wonderful sights, sounds, foods and aromas of the holiday season,” said Ray.
The festivities begin Friday evening with the moving ceremony of Love Lights a Tree which takes place on the Court House lawn at 6 p.m.  The Inman Middle School Band will be performing holiday tunes beginning at 5:30 p.m. Shoppers can browse and shop in downtown stores from 6 until 8 p.m.

On Saturday, downtown shops will be open all day.  Stop by the W. G. Rhea Public Library between 1 and 3 p.m. and see some “MAGICAL CREATURES” up close and personal,  They will be showing “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them”, hold wand making and an animal exhibition, all FREE.  Candlelight Open House festivities are from 6-8 p.m.

On Sunday from 1-5 p.m., shoppers can continue to enjoy Christmas Open Houses in stores throughout Downtown. The Henry County High School Madrigals and the group, Bella Voce, will welcome the season by performing in various shops throughout the afternoon.
