Paris, Tenn.—Just in time for Halloween, Cub Scout Eli Palmer takes a look at the final resting place of former Congressman John Crockett, son of legendary frontiersman David Crockett, in the historic Paris City Cemetery. Eli and his fellow members of Cub Pack 28—also known as the Wolves—took a field trip to Paris City Cemetery last night with Pack Leader Jonathan Bell. The Scouts were given the names of four prominent citizens buried in the cemetery and they searched for them with their flashlights. Allyson Palmer, Eli’s mother, said, “What a neat experience for these boys. They learned about some of the people buried there and got to walk around and read the gravestones.” (Photo courtesy of Allyson Palmer).
