Paris, Tenn.—A Paris man is accused of making death threats against Henry County General Sessions/Juvenile Judge Vicki Snyder via social media.
He is booked into the Henry Co. Jail on a $100,000 bond and will appear in court Oct. 30.
Henry Co. Sheriff Monte Belew received a call today about someone making death threats toward Judge Snyder. The suspect was quickly identified as John W. Barrett, age 47, of 224 Nance Circle.
Captain Adam Jenkins said as a precaution, deputies responded and set up a security perimeter around Judge Snyder’s residence as another group of deputies formulated a plan to take the suspect into custody.
Barrett was arrested at his residence without incident.
Jenkins said, “We would also like to thank Paris Police Dept. for assisting in this matter.”
