Weakley County, Tenn.—Two people are in jail following a domestic argument that escalated early Monday morning in Weakley Co. Deputies and Martin Police used tear gas to remove a suspect who pointed a gun at people inside a residence, including a baby. Another person was arrested for lying about what happened during the incident.
Anthony Rusler, age 38, of 123 Russell Dr., was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and he also has an active warrant from Henry Co. for a probation violation.
Brianna Marie Lyles, age 20, of the same address, was charged with filing a false report.
Deputies were called to the home at 6 a.m. Monday on a report that Rusler had pointed a pistol at people in the house, including a 14-month-old baby. All of the people were able to get out of the house, but Rusler stayed inside.
Deputies and police attempted to get him out for two hours and finally used tear gas, at which time Rusler gave up. It was discovered that his gun was actually a BB gun.
