Paris, Tenn.–Henry County High School has named Ed Gettys as the next varsity girls and boys tennis coach. Gettys has over 40 years of experience in the coaching field. He has been assistant coach for the Lady Patriots basketball team for four seasons and will continue in that role. Gettys played tennis in college and coached tennis in the state of Alabama for 10 years, advancing three teams to top 6th within the state. Athletic Director Michael Poteete said of Gettys, “With Coach Gettys’ experience, I feel that he will continue moving the tennis program forward this year.”
