Paris and Union City, Tenn.—Early voting totals in Henry and Obion Co. are strong, as Tennessee is seeing record-setting high totals across the state.
Early voting in Henry Co. is running higher than in Obion Co., with Elections Administrator DeLaina Green reporting a grand total of 2,750 since early voting began Oct. 17. Monday’s total was 530, she said. “We’re running extremely high for a mid-term,” Green said.
In Obion Co., the grand total is at 2,413, according to Elections Administrator Leigh Schlager, with 496 voting Monday.
Statewide, a total 429,017 voters have cast their ballots during the early voting period, according to the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office.
Early voting continues through November 1. The general election will be held Nov. 6.
In both counties, early voting is conducted at the elections commission offices: in Henry Co., it is located at the courthouse annex on W. Washington St. in Paris. and in Obion Co., it is at 308 Bill Burnett Circle in Union City.
Early voting hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
