Kirby Wallace Transferred To Maximum Security State Prison

Morgan County, Tenn.—Accused murderer and arsonist Kirby Wallace has been transferred to state prison in Morgan County, Tennessee.
Wallace was moved from the Stewart County Jail late Thursday afternoon at the request of Sheriff Frankie Gray.
The Morgan County Corrections Complex is a maximum security prison in the Knoxville area. State corrections officials agreed to the transfer for security reasons.
Wallace was the subject of an intense week-long manhunt in Montgomery and Stewart Counties that involved hundreds of area and state law enforcement officers, first responders and their K9s. Wallace was found in a remote wooded area by Henry Co. Sheriff Monte Belew, Sgt. Stacey Bostwick and Bostwick’s K9 Rowdy.
Wallace is accused of killing two people and seriously injuring two more during violent home invasions. He also set fire to the home of two of his victims.
