5th Annual Civil War Living History Days At Paris Landing This Weekend

Buchanan, Tenn.—The 5th annual Battle of Paris Landing Civil War Living History and Reenactment event will be held this weekend with three full days of activities, including a chili cook-off, vendors and relics, soldier demonstrations, ladies’ tea and more.
The event runs from Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 21 at Paris Landing State Park.
Friday’s events begin at 10 a.m. and involve children’s activities and programming.
Saturday’s events run from 9 a.m. to dusk and include the chili cook-off, reenactments, soldier’s camp, marching, a nursing tent, doctor’s tent, blacksmith, doll and candle making, cake walk, ladies’ tea, vendors and relics and local historians on site.
On Sunday, events start with a Sunday morning church service at the large pavilion with a Civil War chaplain. Sunday’s events run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include hay rides.
Company G of the 7th Tennessee Calvary will be on site both days for demonstrations and Civil War cannons will be fired every hour Saturday and Sunday.
