Paris, Tenn.—A 16-year-old driver was killed in a one-vehicle accident around 4:45 p.m. Friday on Old Paris-Murray Road. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Allyson Melton was killed in the accident.
Patrol Lt. Brad Wilbanks released the report to WENK/WTPR this morning.
According to the report, she was driving a 2004 Chevy SUV south on Old Paris-Murray Rd. The vehicle left the right side of the road and flipped on its side. The top of the vehicle hit a tree and came to a final rest.
She was wearing her seat belt.
The accident was investigated by Trooper D. Veliz.
