Huntingdon, Tenn.—An international company which already had announced an expansion in Carroll Co. is now adding even more jobs to the area.
Granges already had invested $110M to expand its operation in Huntingdon, a move which brought 100 new jobs. Granges officials are now announcing the company plans to add 60 jobs in addition to the 100 already announced.
The Swedish-based company purchased the assets of the bankrupt Noranda Co. in Huntingdon. Granges is a global leader in aluminum engineering and manufacturing.
The Huntingdon Industrial Development board facilitated the additional expansion of the company.
State Governor Bill Haslam announced in 2017 the initial expansion to the Carroll County facility.
Gränges’ expansion meets growing demand for light gauge foil, automotive heat exchanger materials as well as heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC) applications. The expansion includes investment in buildings, casters, cold-rolling mills, annealing furnaces and slitters. The investment further positions Huntingdon as one of the most modern and efficient aluminum rolling mills in North America.
