Stewart County, Tenn.—Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew, Chief Deputy Damon Lowe, Sgt. Wayne Fuqua and his K9 Cisco and Deputy Terry Williams and his K9 Droid joined the search of wanted murder suspect Kirby Wallace, who has killed his second victim and is again on the run in Stewart County.

Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray announced this afternoon that the sheriff’s office will continue working in the Indian Mound area today, tonight and tomorrow until Wallace is captured.

Working along side the Stewart Co. deputies are the FBI, TBI, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patro, TWRA and Henry County Sheriffs Office.
Gray advised the public, “Continue being vigilant of your surroundings, anything you see that is suspicious please contact the Sheriffs Office or 911. Tomorrow there will be deputies following the school buses to load and unload our children in the Indian Mound area for the safety of our children.”

Schools in both Stewart and Montgomery Counties were on soft lockdown today after Wallace’s second murder victim was discovered.

The search has been ongoing around the clock and a narrow three-mile perimeter was contained around the Indian Mound area in Stewart Co. where he was last seen over the weekend.

A total $5,000 reward is being offered for his capture—half from the TBI, half from Governor Bill Haslam. Wallace is wanted for first degree murder, felony murder, aggravated arson, especially aggravated kidnapping, especially aggravated robbery, especially aggravated burglary, and theft of property.
Wallace is charged with committing violent home invasions which have resulted in the death of two people and injuries to two more since last Sunday. The latest occurred this morning when Wallace shot and killed a man and stole his truck.
Wallace should be considered dangerous. The TBI has added him to its Top 10 Most Wanted list.
