Buchanan, Tenn.–A suspicious package was found at the Security Bank branch on the Lake Highway this morning and the bomb squad is on the way from Jackson.
Henry Co. Sheriff Monte Belew is on the scene, which has been secured by the sheriff’s office.
Chief Deputy Damon Lowe said the bank will remain closed until the area is cleared by the bomb squad. He said an employee found an unusual package at the door when he was opening up the bank this morning.
Lowe said both the FBI and bomb squad are on the way to the scene.
The bank branch is located on Hwy. 79N.
