Henry, Tenn.—The faculty and students at Henry School are understandably proud nowadays, with the announcement that it has achieved designation as a 2018 Reward School. In making the announcement, Tennessee Education Commissioner Candice McQeen said earning Reward School designation is one of the key elements in the state’s school accountability system.
Henry Principal David Kibbler said, “It is an honor to be designated as a Reward School and I attribute this success to the hard work and dedication of Henry’s students and faculty members.”
Henry School began the 2015-2016 school year as a Level 1 school. With renewed focus on high quality, rigorous instruction, Henry School ended the 2017-2018 school year as a Level 5 school.
Kibbler said, “I am extremely proud of all of our Henry Prates, and I an grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement we have received from our parents and faculty members.”
The designation was achieved because of “the joint effort of students, faculty, parents, district-level staff and the Henry community,” he said.
