Mayfield, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police continues to investigate the attempted abduction of a Mayfield teen late Sunday night.
Troopers and detectives are gathering any surveillance footage that may have captured the incident. The Kentucky State Police Intelligence Branch is working closely with investigators to try and determine the registered owner of the vehicle described. Anyone who has seen a white Kia Soul acting in a suspicious manner are urged to contact the Kentucky State Police at 270-856-3721 or dial 911.
On September 23, 2018, at approximately 10:30 PM the Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield received a complaint of an attempted, random abduction.
Through investigation it was discovered a white male in his mid 30’s with black hair and a black goatee was operating a white Kia Soul near Mayfield. The male attempted to abduct a random female juvenile, but the juvenile was able to fight her attacker and get away.
