Nashville, Tenn.—Lindsay Frilling, Executive Director of the Obion Co. Joint Economic Development Council, will be participating on this week’s Complete Tennessee College Completion Communities Summit to be held in Nashville.
Frilling is the lead of the committee representing local counties. The program challenged give Tennessee communities to develop targeted plans to improve local college attainment.
Frilling said, “Personally, I am involved in this initiative because Obion Co. Commissioner Ricky Boyd nominated me to participate in Complete TN Leadership Institute last year. I loved the experience, and when I was asked to participate in this pilot program, I immediately said yes. Our people are our greatest asset, and helping them get educated or re-educated is exciting, plus it builds our workforce.”
The Summit will be held Wednesday at Nashville Community College.
Others involved with the Summit include Tennessee Education Commissioner Candice McQueen and Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe.
