Paris, Tenn.—A Henry County man was charged with aggravated assault after he shot off a round from his shotgun in a dispute with neighbors over noise.
Timothy VanDrew, age 42, of 3525 Hwy. 140, was arrested Wednesday evening by Deputy Sgt. Brian Davis. That address is near Hardy Rd. and Verdell Store Rd.
According to the report, Davis responded to a call of shots fired. The alleged victim told Davis that he and his family were outside their home watching their son riding a motorcycle and VanDrew came out of his home and was yelling about the noise.
VanDrew reportedly told the neighbors to stop the noise and fired a shot from his gun. According to the report, VanDrew’s wife at that point took the gun away from him.
His bond was set at $7,500.
