Car Found In Flames In Woods; Henry Co. Sheriff's Office Investigating

Buchanan, Tenn.–The Paris Landing Fire Dept was dispatched at approximately 10 am Friday morning to  5460 Rabbit Creek Road for a report of a vehicle on fire in a field behind a residence.  Fire Chief Reggie Coles said, “Arriving units found a Chevrolet Cobalt fully engulfed in flames at the end of a dirt lane in the woods.  It appeared the driver lost control and hit a tree causing the battery to short out and ignite the vehicle.”  The car was a total loss, damage is estimated at $5,000.  The driver could not be located.  Two trucks and 7 firefighters were on the scene for one hour.  The incident is under investigation by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.  Lt.
