Bruce Griffey Delivers Copies Of Constitution To Schools

Paris, Tenn.–Paris Attorney Bruce Griffey Tuesday delivered copies of the United States Constitution to 8th grade students in Henry County in recognition of Constitution Day.  Griffey is the Republican nominee for State Representative and noted Constitution commemorates the signing of the US Constitution 231 years ago on September 17, 1787.  “In fact, the State of Tennessee has designated this week as Celebrate Freedom Week in recognition of Constitution Day.  The 917 Society is a Tennessee non-partisan, non-profit educational organization with the goal of empowering every 8th grader in Tennessee with the knowledge of their individual freedoms by providing them with their very own lasting copy of the U.S. Constitution as a “rite of passage” into American Citizenship.”
In order to help the 917 Society reach its goal this year and ensure students in Henry County understood and could celebrate Constitution Day, Griffey purchased a sufficient number of Constitutions from the 917 Society to be able to provide one to every 8th Grade student in Henry County and distributed them on Monday.  In photo, Griffey distributes Constitutions to 8th Graders at Henry Elementary School.
