Martin, Tenn.–Add the Martin Fire Department to the list of first responders from our local area who are responding to the needs of the Hurricane Florence devastation.
The Martin Fire Department is joining a task force of other fire departments across Tennessee to provide fire protection in North Carolina as the state grips with the effects of Hurricane Florence.
Assistant Fire Chief Joey Pierce and Firefighter Tyler Yates left at lunch Friday. They reported to TEMA in Nashville for a briefing and then continued on to Knoxville for the night. Saturday morning they will continue on in to Raleigh, North Carolina for a five-day mission. MFD personnel will be joined by crews from Madison County and Hardin County Fire Departments. Please keep all these men in your prayers along with the millions in the path of the Hurricane.
