Local Health Department Personnel, Air Evac Deployed To Help In Hurricane Zone

This is why they call Tennessee the “Volunteer State”.
 
Twenty-two personnel from Health Departments in West and East Tennessee have been deployed to areas which are expected to be hit by Hurricane Florence, as have crews from Air Evac.
 
The Tennessee Department of Health has deployed two nurse strike teams with 22 personnel who will provide medical care and support to local officials helping survivors.
 
The nurses include Jennifer Cook from the Henry County Health Department, Kristie Threet from the Benton County Health Department, and nurses from Weakley, Bedford, Decatur, Gibson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Morgan, Overton, Putnam and White Counties.
 
The Air Evac Lifeteam has deployed 12 bases in support of efforts for Hurricane Florence.
 
Crews from Air Evac 108 in Mayfield has been deployed in the effort to help people in the wake of Hurricane Florence.
