Two Men Injured, Five Arrested After Brawl In Springville

Springville, Tenn.—Two Springville men assaulted in a brawl early Sunday morning have been treated and released from the hospital and the five people involved in the attack have been arrested.

Henry County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Wyerick told WENK/WTPR that the victims were transported to Henry County Medical Center by ambulance. Both were hit by several people during the fight and one the victims was struck by an SUV.

All five of the people arrested are scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.

Wyerick said the attack stemmed from an ongoing dispute. He also said the investigation continues.

According to the report, deputies were called to an address on Hilltop Road around 2 a.m. Sunday on a report of a fight. Witnesses told deputies that three vehicles pulled up at the private driveway of the Hilltop residence and several people began attacking the two victims.

Wyrick responded to the scene, took blood samples and interviewed witnesses.

Five people were arrested Monday morning on a variety of charges:

Travis Moore, age 31, of McKenzie; Alan C. Myers, age 35 of Paris, and James B. Moore, age 37, of McKenzie, all charged with aggravated assault and simple assault. Serena Moore, age 33, of Springville, was charged with aggravated assault and Amy Papszycki, age 45, of Paris, was charged with simple assault.

Bonds were set at $15,000 for all except for Papszycki and her bond was set at $2,000.
