Murray, Ky.–A rural Calloway County home was destroyed by fire early this morning and thankfully no one was injured.
Calloway County Fire and Rescue and the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire around 2:30 a.m. No one was home at the time of the fire. The home is located on Murray-Paris Rd. near Hwy. 121.
Troy Doss of the Sheriff’s Office captured a photo of Fire and Rescue member Jonathan Casner saving Old Glory from the flames. Doss said, “I’m glad I was able to catch this to share with everyone. Jonathan Casner saving our nation’s colors from the flames while his brothers did what they do best. Nice job by all.”
