New Stewart Co. Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Jail Administrator Sworn In

Dover, Tenn.—The last two days have seen big changes in Stewart County.

Newly-elected Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray, his Chief Deputy Dale Ward and new Jail Administrator Kenneth Anderson were sworn into their new positions by Stewart County Judge Andy Brigham at the courthouse.

After the ceremony, Sheriff Gray met with retiring Sheriff Deryk Wyatt at the sheriff’s office on the transition.

Friday was the last day for Sheriff Wyatt, Chief Deputy Marc McElroy and Jail Administrator Angie Lemons, along with Corrections Lieutenant Myrandi Etherton. Sheriff Wyatt has served the county for 26 ½ years, while McElroy served 13 1.2; Lemons at 24 years and Lt. Etherton at 14 years. That’s a combined total of 78 years of law enforcement experience.
