Update: Live Grenade Located In Murray

UPDATE: The grenade was checked by KSP’s Hazardous Device Unit and the Paducah
Police Bomb Squad and was determined to be live. The device has been secured and taken to a
separate location where it will be destroyed. All roads are now back open and the area is clear.
 
Murray, Ky.–The Murray Police Department requests that people stay away from the intersection of 5th and Poplar Streets until further notice.

A perimeter has been set around the area due to a hand grenade that was located that is possibly live. Until proper authorities have arrived to check the item it will be treated as live and no one allowed in the area.
