Paris, Tenn.—The Paris Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is warning motorists to proceed with caution this morning at the intersection of Mineral Wells and Tyson Avenues.
A car accident has resulted in a broken power pole and BPU crews will be on site making repairs until around noon. Only one customer will be without power during the repair.
Two lanes of traffic will remain closed throughout the morning. The right hand (outside) lane on Hwy 79 South coming into town in front of Carroll Bank will be blocked off and the right hand lane on Mineral Wells that turns onto Tyson Avenue in front of Pocket’s will also be shut down.
BPU officials said, “Thanks in advance for your understanding as we interrupt the flow of traffic this morning to replace the broken pole.”
