Murray, Ky.—A Calloway County fire truck overturned while on a fire call and the firefighter at the wheel was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
According to a press release from Calloway County Sheriff Sam Steger, the 911 dispatch received a call around 7:15 a.m. this morning reporting an accident with injuries on Butterworth Rd. near Jones Sparkman Rd. in west Calloway Co.
William Call of Murray was operating the 2007 Freightliner fire truck while responding to the report of a fire in the county. He was traveling south on Butterworth when the vehicle left the side of the road before overturning. Murray-Calloway EMS transported Call to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The investigation is being conducted by Sheriff Steger. He was assisted at the scene by Calloway County EMS and Calloway County Fire and Rescue.
