By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director

Union City, Tenn.—With cooler temperatures gracing our area, good crowds continue at the 60th Obion County Fair. Wednesday night was a lucky night for people from Troy, with Gayla Cheatham of Troy winning the $1,000 Nightly Drawing and Brittnie McDaniel, also of Troy, winning the Pick Tennessee basket.

The fair continues full steam ahead today with plenty of activities. Today is Senior Citizens Day and there will be another performance of the Youth Musical.

And, Barney Fife will be strolling the grounds again today and who knows who may get a ticket. Barney Fife is imitated by Rik Roberts, who welcomes people to the fair and occasionally makes a ‘citizen’s arrest’.

The Ranch Rodeo will be held at 7 p.m. and it will include branding, doctoring, and steer riding.
