Rev. Harrell Phillips Will Be Guest Minister At Antioch UMC Sunday

 
 
Paris, Tenn.—On Sunday, August 26 at 9:30 a.m. Antioch United Methodist Church, 3116 West Antioch Rd. Springville, TN will welcome a former pastor as a guest minister.
 
Rev. Harrell Phillips was pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Paris from 1972-1977.  The last four years, Antioch church was added as an extension ministry under the designation of Lakeland  Ministry.   During that pastorate, he married the former Alice Barrett of Paris, the administrative assistant to the plant supervisor of the then Midland-Ross corporation.
 
Other United Methodist pastorates served by Rev. Phillips include Madison Heights Memphis, First Church Dresden, First Church Camden, First Church Lexington, and First Church Brownsville. He was Dyersburg District Superintendent 1995-2001.
 
He received his education at East Tennessee State, Vanderbilt Divinity School, the University of Memphis, and the University of Cincinnati.
 
He retired in 2003. In retirement, he lives in Jackson and does fill-in preaching and serves as a volunteer hospital chaplain.
