Macy Garner Crowned Obion Co. Fairest Of Fair

Union City, Tenn.—Macy Garner of Greenfield was crowned Obion County Fairest of the Fair last night and she and her court will be reigning over this week’s activities as the fair celebrates its 60th year.
 
The fair got off to a good start Monday night despite the rainstorm which tried to interfere with the activities.
 
Garner’s court was named: First Maid Bre Williams, Union City; Second Maid Kaleigh Wagner, Obion; and Third Maid Katie Seals.
 
It was a good night for the Garner family, with Macy’s father Brian Garner, winning the first $1,000 Nightly Drawing of the fair. The Pick Tennessee basket was won by Anthony Williams.
 
Teen Fairest of the Fair was Eva-Marie Pruitt, with First Maid Katie Washburn, Second Maid Carly Hicks; and Third Maid Lauren Yates.
 
Junior Miss Fairest of Fair was Lacy Kay Stokes, with First Maid Ivy Kate Morris; Second Maid Clara Pryor; and Third Maid Kailey Ring.
 
Seven competitors signed up for the Duck Calling Contest, with Garrett Ulmer of Troy being declared the winner. Second Place was Carson Homra of Hornbeak and Third was Ethan Caldwell of Union City.
During opening ceremonies, long-time Fair Volunteer Brenda Baker was inducted into the fair’s Hall of Fame. Baker worked with the fair for 30 years.
