Union City, Tenn.—A Union City man was shot in the leg by an unknown subject Saturday night.
According to the police report, officers went to the Baptist Memorial Hospital emergency room on a call that a subject with a gunshot wound was being treated there.
The victim told police he had worked at the fairgrounds until around 9 p.m. and went for a walk down to the ball park. He was walking back home and while on East Church St., crossing South Sunswept, he heard a gunshot.
He said he then heard a second gunshot and then a third and realized he had been shot in the leg. He said he did not see anyone in the area and no vehicles had been driving by.
